LESSON POLICY
Lesson Policy
- All payment is to be made in advance of the class. Payment should be settled within a week the class is confirmed or at least two days before the class, whichever is sooner. 所有費用須在上課前預先繳交,且必須在確認課程一星期內付款。若距離上課時間少於一星期,則必須在上課兩日前繳交。
- Blue Unicorn operates a “first-come first-serve” and confirmation-by-payment policy in allocating teaching schedules and reserves the right to release any reserved lessons that have only been verbally confirmed or have passed confirmation deadline. Full payment must be received prior to the indicated deadline in order for lessons to be scheduled. 我們於分配課堂上實行「先到先得」付款確認政策,並保留解除任何僅經過口頭確認或已過預留期之課堂的權利,且在指定的截止日期之前收到全額付款才能安排課程。
- The student must give the School prior verbal or written notice of absence for cancellation of lesson not less than 2 working days of the School. Working days do not include Sundays or other holidays of the School. Notice given after office hours are taken as notice given on the next working day. The School has the discretion to waive the tuition fees for that particular session if notice of absence is given in compliance with this provision; but exercise of discretion for waiver of tuition fees by the School as foresaid will be limited to once in a calendar month. 如學生需要缺席,必須於上課時間前,給予本校不少於兩個工作天的通知。工作天並不包括星期日及本校其他假期,而在辦工時間後發出的通知會當作下一個工作天發出計算。如學生遵守此規則,本校可以行使酌情權去豁免該堂學費,但本校行使該酌情權只限一個月一次。
- Any student who fails to give the School any notice of absence in advance needs to pay the tuition fee for that particular session. 學生若沒有事先向本校發出任何有關該缺席的通知,便需支付該課堂學費。
- (i) The student is required to give at least 2 hours’ prior notice of absence during office hours of the School if such absence is due to sickness or other reasonable causes of emergency. Notice can be given verbally or in writing during office hours. Should a student need to take leave from a class that begins less than 2 hours after the School opens on that day, 2 hours’ prior notice in writing via email is acceptable. 學生如果因病或其他合理緊急事故缺課,必須在本校辦工時間內兩小時前通知本校。學生可透過口頭或書面形式通知。如果學生需要在課程開始前的兩小時請假,而該時間早於本校的辦工時間,可透過電郵在兩小時前通知。
- If the student fails to give the requisite advance notice of absence according to the preceding provision A(4) in the case of sickness (in spite of the production of the medical certificate) as well as in cases of absence due to other reasonable causes of emergency, the student is required to pay the tuition fee for that particular session. 如果學生不能根據上述A(4)條款因病或其他合理緊急事故作出事前通知,便需支付該課堂學費。
- Same-day bookings (defined as bookings for lessons happening on the same day as the booking) are subject to a $200 surcharge.

REFUND POLICY & PROCEDURES
Refund Policies and Procedures
A.Refund Policies: 退款政策:- If a course cannot be operated according to the arrangements specified (including the stipulations as to the date and time of the course) in the fee receipt and the course leaflet; and the student declines the revised arrangements, the School will refund the student the full amount of the course fee collected or on a pro-rata basis, whichever is applicable, as soon as possible and in any event not later than one month after the student’s request for the refund. 倘若課程未能按照學費收據及課程單張所載安排開辦(包括所列日期或時間開辦),而學生又拒絕接受學校提供的新安排,在學生提出退款要求後,本校會儘快及在任何情況下不超過一個月,向學生全數或按比例退回課程費用。
- In case of a permanent school closure prior to the commencement of a course, the School will refund the student the full amount of the course fee collected. 本校如在課程開課前關閉,便會向學生全數退回課程費用。
- In case of an unplanned cessation of a course after its commencement, the School will refund the student the course fee collected on a pro-rata basis as soon as possible and in any event not later than one month after the cessation of the course. 倘若課程在開課後停辦,本校會儘快及在任何情況下不超過一個月,向學生按比例退回課程費用。
- The School will inform students of the refund arrangement either over the telephone or in writing. For students aged below 18, their parents or guardians can proceed with the refund procedures on behalf of the students. 本校會主動致電或以書面通知學生有關退款安排。十八歲以下的學生可由家長或監護人代辦退款手續。
- The School will refund students in accordance with the above policies. 本校會按照上述政策向學生退款。
- Upon receiving the refund, the student or parent or guardian is required to sign to acknowledge receipt of the refund. 學生或家長收到退款時,需要簽收確認。
- The School will pay the refund either in cash or by cheque. 本校會以現金或支票支付退款。

ADVERSE WEATHER ARRANGEMENTS
Adverse Weather Arrangements
We observe the regulations issued by the Education Bureau (“EB”) concerning adverse weather conditions and the following rules are formulated according to the directions issued by EB. 本校遵守香港教育局有關惡劣天氣的規定,而下列規則根據教育局發出的指引制訂。 TYPHOON SIGNAL 颱風信號 1) Typhoon signal issued before class 於上課前發出颱風信號- When typhoon signal Pre-No.8 / No. 8 or above is issued, classes will be cancelled if the signal is in force 3 hours before the scheduled class time. 當天文台發出八號預警 /八號或以上熱帶氣旋警告信號,若該信號於原定上課時間3小時前依然生效,該課堂將取消。
- When typhoon signal Pre-No.8 / No. 8 or above is issued, classes are to be suspended and students shall return home under reasonably safe conditions. 當天文台發出八號預警 /八號或以上熱帶氣旋警告信號,課堂將暫停,學生應於合理地安全的情況下歸家。
- When Red / Black rainstorm warning is issued, classes will be cancelled if the signal is in force 2 hours before the scheduled class time. 當天文台發出紅色 / 黑色暴雨警告,若該警告於原定上課時間2小時前依然生效,該課堂將取消。
- Once a class has started, it will continue for the full time allotted unless physical conditions in the Centre are considered to be dangerous. After the class ends, students are allowed to stay at the Centre until weather conditions are reasonably safe for students to return home. 若課堂經已開始,除非上課場地有危險,否則課堂將繼續進行至結束為止。該課堂結束後,學生可留在本校直至學生能於合理地安全的天氣情況下歸家。
- If the class has already been cancelled per the above issuance of a Red / Black rainstorm warning, such class will remain cancelled UNLESS the student(s) / parent(s) and teacher(s) agree to it being resumed and provided that it is also reasonable and practicable for us to effect such arrangement under each particular circumstance. 若課堂已經因上述紅色 / 黑色暴雨警告的情況被取消,除非學生 / 其家長以及老師均同意復課,而該安排於個別情況下亦對本校屬合理及可行的話,否則該課堂將依然取消。

Other Terms & Conditions
- All lesson materials used by Blue Unicorn instructors and distributed to students (including textbooks, worksheets, etc.) are prepared by the individual tutors and Blue Unicorn is not responsible or liable for the materials provided. Any reproduction, distribution or sharing of published materials by tutors without the express written consent of the author is discouraged by Blue Unicorn. 本校教師使用並分發給學生的所有課程材料(包括教科書,工作紙等)均由個別導師準備,本校對其提供的教材不承擔任何責任。本校不鼓勵未經作者明確書面同意下,由導師複製、分發或分享出版材料。
- All lesson scheduling, payment, and logistical issues should be taken up with our Admin Staffs. The Blue Unicorn teachers are not responsible for scheduling or any other non-academic matters. Parents and students are not encouraged to contact teachers directly outside of lesson hours. - Blue Unicorn reserves the right to refuse the admission of any student who, in its opinion, is detrimental to the general welfare of the school. 若任何學生不利於學校的整體福利,本校保留拒絕該學生入學的權利,。
- Blue Unicorn reserves the right to discontinue a student’s enrolment at any time for poor attendance, non-payment or underpayment of tuition, disruptive behavior, or any behavior that is disrupting of the school operations or other students’ learning. 若任何學生不付或少付學費、對我校或其他學生進行破壞或擾亂性行為行為,本校保留隨時拒絕學生入學的權利。
- Regarding of Home Tutoring lessons, Blue Unicorn will not be liable for any form of damages of the student’s home, the student and/or any other persons and/or properties that may arise from the provision of any Blue Unicorn services, including but not limited to that of tutoring, that take place outside of Blue Unicorn premises. The Undersigned agrees not to pursue Blue Unicorn to compensate for any damages that have arisen as a result of home tutoring. 關於上門輔導課程,我們對因提供任何本校服務可能引起的學生家庭、學生和/或任何其他人和/或財產的任何形式的損害不承擔任何責任,包括但不僅限於在本校場所之外進行的輔導。 簽署人同意不再追求我們對因上門補習而導致的任何損害之賠償。
- In case of any disputes, Blue Unicorn’s decision should be final and conclusive. If there’s any inconsistency or conflict between between the English and Chinese version, the English version shall prevail. 如有任何爭議,本校決定應為最終決定。 如果中英文版本之間存在任何不一致或衝突,則以英文版本為準。
- Blue Unicorn reserves the right to amend company policy and all terms and conditions without prior notice. 我們保留修改公司政策和所有條款和條件的權利,恕不另行通知。
